Invoicing
Accepted applicants will receive notice of their allocated dates. At this point vendors have 7 days for any schedule adjustments without penalty, after which you will be invoiced for their approved market dates for the season. Once invoiced, payment must be received within 10 DAYS to secure your place in the market. Fees are non-refundable.
Notification of missed market dates
If a vendor is not able to attend a Sunday market date, the vendor must inform the Market Manager by email before noon on the Thursday prior to the Sunday market date.
This notification does not allow for a refund of fees. A vendor may not be allowed to return if they miss a market date without giving notice.
Saturday long weekend markets: Saturdays are particularly sensitive to cancellations because they are smaller. Given this, and that points are awarded for their attendance in the application process, vendors that cancel Saturday markets will incur a missed market fine.
Missed market fines
To allow for proper planning and execution of the Whistler Farmers Market, missed market dates are subject to fines. A vendor is considered to have missed a Sunday market date if they do not attend a scheduled market date and have not notified the Market Manager by the deadline above.
The fines for missed market dates are as follows:
1st market date missed: no charge
2nd market date missed: $50 penalty
3rd market date missed: $60 penalty
All penalties must be paid prior to the next scheduled market date.
Late Fees and Missed Payments
Vendors must be in good financial standing to attend the market. Late payment or missed payment will result in the withdrawal of a vendor from the market schedule. Once the vendor is paid all debts in full, market days may be added. Please note, we cannot hold booth spots for vendors who are in bad financial standing.
